IMPORTANT CLINICAL NOTICE:
The calculators, gestation calendars, milestone protocols, and feeding guidelines provided on WhelpCare are designed strictly for educational, informational, and general breeding planning purposes.

1. Veterinary & Clinical Medical Disclaimer

  • Not a Substitute for Veterinary Care: None of the calculations or content on WhelpCare constitute formal veterinary diagnoses, theriogenology treatment plans, or emergency obstetrical care.
  • Biological Variation: Gestation periods vary by breed, maternal age, litter size, and individual hormonal baselines. Calculated dates represent statistical averages based on clinical literature.
  • Emergency Veterinary Attention: Always consult a licensed veterinarian or board-certified veterinary theriogenologist (DACT) immediately if your animal shows abnormal vaginal discharge, active labor contractions lasting over 2 hours without delivery, signs of maternal distress (dystocia), or if you are managing a high-risk brachycephalic breed requiring an elective C-section.

  • You are granted a personal, non-commercial license to use the calculators, generate printable schedules, and download .ics calendar files for personal or veterinary practice management.
  • You may not scrape, republish, reproduce, or redistribute our software code, calculator engines, or content without explicit written permission.

3. Limitation of Liability

Under no circumstances shall WhelpCare, its creators, developers (Varkanova Technologies), or affiliates be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from:

  • The use or inability to use our calculation tools.
  • Any maternal or fetal outcomes, unexpected whelping dates, or litter health events.
